Bio
At my current position as the Online Marketing/PR Associate at Swann Galleries, I continually update the auction house's website, which includes writing descriptions of auction highlights, uploading images, and developing a new feature that I created, The Press Center, for easy distribution of press releases.
I started Swann Galleries' Blog to show behind-the-scenes activity at the auction house. Maintaining it entails photographing during events and interviewing department specialists in addition to writing and editing compelling news stories.
I post catalogs on eBay to promote upcoming sales and to reach potential buyers who are searching for featured items in Swann's auctions. Also, in the past eBay had facilitated online bidding during our auctions, but has since discontinued this service. Thus, if a repeat customer were to search eBay for Swann, our catalog listing would direct them to our website. Using this platform as inepensive advertising, the primary goal in listing on eBay is not to sell catalogs. Rather, these postings effectively drive traffic to Swann's online bidding, taking full advantage of the inherent benefits of Search Engine Marketing.
I post events for upcoming sales on the Swann Galleries Fan Page that I had created and customized.
On the LoHo Realty Fan Page, which I also created from scratch, I post current rental listings with individual photo albums and events for walking tours of Lower East Side apartments for sale.
I tweet during Swann Galleries' auctions, highlighting high-selling items in real-time and pose questions to Followers to encourage their feedback.
I customized the design of LoHo Realty's Twitter page, on which agents post the latest listings and bite-sized pieces of information about the neighborhood. I selected a cheerful color scheme and background image.
I compose and design HTML e-mails using Constant Contact, test on multiple browsers and email clients, and debug code accordingly. I created this e-mail to announce new ways to interact with Swann Galleries online.
This e-mail appeal to supporters of The Rema Hort Mann Foundation, a grant-giving non-profit for cancer patients and emerging artists, saved the organization postal expenses for their Grin & Bear fundraising campaign.
